We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our dynamic therapy team at Newton Abbot Hospital. As a Band 6 Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation programmes for patients admitted to our medical wards.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement Physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation programmes for patients with a range of conditions, including older adults and those with complex needs.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the Physiotherapy service, including service development and improvement initiatives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members, including Band 5 Physiotherapists.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Diploma/degree in physiotherapy and current HCPC registration.
- Experience of working in a hospital setting, particularly with older adults and those with complex needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
- Postgraduate training in a healthcare of the elderly field is desirable.
