Position Overview

This position is crucial for ensuring that all necessary resources and materials are available to meet project timelines and contractual obligations. The role involves effectively overseeing senior and site engineers, along with having a solid background in cost management and forecasting. You will also be responsible for preparing and adhering to inspection and testing plans as well as quality assurance checklists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service while protecting the interests of the company, fostering long-term relationships, and managing expectations regarding costs, variations, health, safety, environment, and project timelines.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to forecast and monitor costs, ensuring that financial targets are achieved and managing project expenditures within the approved budget.
  • Ensure effective performance management across all teams to deliver projects efficiently while maintaining health, safety, environment, and quality standards in accordance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Meet project timelines and contribute to updating the project schedule to align with contractual and tender specifications.
  • Work alongside the site team to ensure that the appropriate resources are allocated effectively.
  • Deliver the contractual project schedule and create lookahead schedules for site teams.
  • Collaborate closely with the commercial team on costs, variations, and change management processes.
  • Prepare and ensure adherence to inspection and testing plans as well as quality assurance checklists.

  • Strong health, safety, environment, and quality standards, along with experience in preparing risk assessments and method statements. A valid SMSTS certification and a degree in Civil Engineering are essential, along with a minimum of five years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Proficiency in both short-term and long-term planning and programming, with expertise in change management. A proven history of delivering projects in accordance with specifications and contractual drawings, along with a solid understanding of project contract administration.
  • A full UK driving license is a requirement.
