Job Title: Exam Access and Specialist Support Tutor

The Learner Support Team at St Helens College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional to join our team as an Exam Access and Specialist Support Tutor. Our team provides support and exam access arrangements for students with a range of learning differences, disabilities, sensory impairments, and medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching, supporting, and assessing learners with SpLD in a Post 16 environment
  • Completing Learner Support Plans and providing individualized support to learners
  • Supporting learners on a 1:1 basis with academic work for all levels of study
  • Meeting JCQ requirements for Assessors of Exam Access Arrangements and maintaining excellent report writing skills
Requirements:
  • Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., DTLLS, Cert Ed, or other Post 16 equivalent)
  • Qualification that meets JCQ requirements for Assessors of Exam Access Arrangements
  • Experience of supporting learners with SpLD in a Post 16 environment
