The Learner Support Team at St Helens College is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as an Exam Access and Specialist Support Tutor. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about supporting learners with diverse needs and is committed to delivering an inclusive and student-focused service.

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified and experienced tutor who can provide support and guidance to learners with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) in a Post 16 environment. The successful candidate will have a relevant teaching qualification and experience of teaching, supporting, and assessing learners with SpLD. They will also have a qualification that meets JCQ requirements for Assessors of Exam Access Arrangements and excellent report writing skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support learners with SpLD in a Post 16 environment
  • Assess and provide exam access arrangements for learners
  • Develop and implement Learner Support Plans
  • Provide one-to-one support to learners with academic work for all levels of study
