About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our innovative and forward-thinking team in the Combined Day Unit at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing systemic anti-cancer treatments, supportive therapies, and blood product administration.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide expert nursing care to patients with cancer and blood disorders
  • Administer chemotherapy and other treatments in a safe and controlled environment
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current registration with the NMC
  • Demonstrable post-registration experience in oncology or haematology
  • Desirable: oncology or haematology experience, chemotherapy experience, cannulation, venepuncture, and IV training
