About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our Flanshaw Lodge Care Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will work within the Residential Care Unit, providing care and support to residents, and promoting their independence, individuality, and dignity.
  • You will communicate effectively with management, residents, staff, and visitors, maintaining good relations and ensuring the smooth operation of the unit.
  • You will safely administer medications and manage the medication regime for residents.
  • You will work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ 2 in Social Care or NVQ 3 in Social Care, or working towards.
  • An understanding of Safe manual handling techniques.
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding Adults.
  • A minimum of two years' experience of working with older adults and an understanding of their differing complex care needs.
