£38,500 Per annum + £1,200 CA Bonus

  • 1 in 5 on call (£100 a week allowance)

Role Overview:

The Static Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational integrity of electrical systems within a leading global provider of integrated facilities management. The selected candidate will oversee both planned and reactive maintenance tasks while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

The role involves supervising specialist subcontractors and maintaining accurate documentation to meet client requirements. We are seeking an individual eager to advance their career, ideally someone transitioning from an electrician's mate or improver role, as this organization is recognized for its commitment to employee development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and ensure accessibility of QHSE documentation through client systems such as logbooks and hazard reports.
  • Adhere to and document compliance with ISO 9001/14001 and other Quality Management Systems.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance contract performance and meet client expectations.
  • Organize and assist with reactive repairs and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Execute reactive repairs as directed by management in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Prioritize and delegate maintenance tasks to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Follow company health and safety policies diligently.
  • Undertake additional duties as reasonably requested.
  • Install and repair equipment as needed, responding promptly to maintenance requests.
  • Participate in relevant training programs to enhance skills.
  • Foster effective relationships with key client contacts, ensuring a customer-focused approach.
  • Uphold the core values of the organization while delivering services in line with client procedures and policies.
Candidate Profile:

Education:
  • A solid educational background with proficiency in written and spoken English and basic mathematics.
  • Recognized technical qualifications relevant to the role of a multi-skilled engineer.
Skills:
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively.
  • Structured approach to work with foresight in prioritizing tasks.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in task execution.
  • Confident communicator, able to express viewpoints effectively.
  • Customer and team-oriented mindset, considering the impact of actions on others.
  • Mechanical and electrical experience in similar environments.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Knowledge:
  • Minimum qualifications of Electrical City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2/3.
  • 18th edition certification.
  • Familiarity with other building services is advantageous.
  • ACS Commercial & Industrial Gas Safety Approved.
  • Experience with Planned Preventative Maintenance regimes.
  • Proficient in electrical service installation and fault finding.
  • Understanding of lone working requirements and risk assessment training.
