After School Club Assistant for Primary Schools

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic After School Club Assistant to join our team at Richmond and Wandsworth Councils. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality wrap-around care to primary school children, ensuring their safety and well-being during the after-school period.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging activities for children aged 5-11
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for children to play, learn, and socialize
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to ensure seamless transitions and effective communication
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, behavior, and progress
- Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Enhanced DBS clearance and two reference checks
