Opportunity Overview
We are seeking compassionate and experienced Mental Health Support Specialists to join our team in Preston. You will play a vital role in providing personalized care to a remarkable lady in her 40s who has a diagnosis of Paranoid Schizophrenia, EUPD, and Learning Disabilities. She resides independently in her bungalow and receives 2:1 support around the clock.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering person-centered care that promotes well-being, independence, and a sense of purpose.
- Assisting with daily living activities, including personal care, medication management, and meal preparation.
- Facilitating social engagement and community integration through outings, activities, and support groups.
- Implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, occupational therapists, and clinical leads.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in providing support to individuals with mental health conditions and challenging behaviors.
- A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to transport individuals as needed.
