We are seeking a skilled Employer Relations Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Education Development Trust.

This role is designed to foster connections with the business community, encouraging their participation in creating valuable work experience opportunities for young individuals, thereby facilitating meaningful interactions with the professional environment.

Location: London (hybrid - remote work with travel across the region)

The primary responsibility of the Employer Relations Coordinator is to engage with various businesses and organizations, promoting their involvement in providing work experience placements that are beneficial for young people.

The successful candidate will be expected to cultivate and sustain productive relationships with a diverse range of employers. This position will require proactive outreach, including cold calling to onboard new businesses. The role may necessitate travel to multiple locations and occasional work outside of standard hours. The Employer Relations Coordinator will be expected to represent the organization externally, attending in-person meetings with employers and stakeholders in various settings and at events.

Knowledge

Essential:

  • A solid understanding of educational environments and the challenges schools encounter in implementing career-related activities, particularly work experience.
  • Familiarity with pertinent local and national policies regarding skills development and the barriers to employment that young people face.

Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience in engaging and establishing relationships with business leaders, particularly within HR and Talent Acquisition.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizing and facilitating events.
  • A strong history of business development and client relationship management.
