Job Title: Executive Chef

Anchor is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Oulton Manor, a luxury residential care home in Leeds. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deputise for the Chef Manager and manage all aspects of catering, ensuring a seamless service to our residents.
  • Supervise catering assistants on shift, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service standards.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and health & safety procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.
  • Minimise waste and use equipment correctly, promoting sustainability and efficiency in our kitchen operations.
Requirements:
  • Intermediate or level 3 food hygiene certificate with Cater craft or similar award.
  • Health & safety legislation knowledge, including COSHH and food safety standards.
  • Proven chef and people management experience, with a track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Basic knowledge of dietary requirements for older people, with the ability to adapt menus accordingly.
  • Safe use of kitchen equipment, including knives, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
Skills:
  • Able to negotiate, influence, and prioritise activities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and innovative, with the ability to work in a pressured environment and produce high-quality meals based on implemented menus.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, able to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve excellent results.
