Babcock International Group is seeking a skilled Communications Business Partner to join our team in Helensburgh, UK. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing effective communication strategies to support our nuclear sector and wider business.

The Role

As a Communications Business Partner, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing annual communication plans and roadmaps to support the nuclear sector and wider business.
  • Supporting the business with the effective delivery of relevant, appropriate information and corporate communications to Babcock Clyde employees, customers, and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinating internal employee, partner, and stakeholder communications through a range of channels.
  • Leading and supporting marketing communications activity.
  • Leading and supporting external public relations, media, and event opportunities.
  • Establishing a strong network of key influencers.
  • Preparing Lines To Take and developing news ideas to protect and enhance Babcock's reputation.
  • Monitoring the results of feedback from events/communications to ensure continuous improvement in communications.
  • Developing a thorough knowledge and understanding of communication tools and techniques and how these can be used across the Nuclear Sector and wider Babcock Group.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

Essential Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good understanding of public relations, marketing, external and internal communications and the ability to deliver high-quality advice and innovative solutions to meet all customer requirements.
  • The ability to gather and interpret a diverse range of information and convert it into engaging internal communications material.
  • Creative thinking with the ability to continually look at ways of improving and developing communications tools and channels.
  • The ability to collaborate and build good working relationships with key stakeholders to Director level.

Qualifications

You will need a degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or significant experience in a similar role.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
