We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Education Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs in Key Stage 3 and 4, particularly those with Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia, during PE lessons.
- Work closely with the PE teacher to implement individualised learning strategies that enhance student engagement and progress.
- Support the delivery of lessons, adapting tasks as necessary to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Assist in managing challenging behaviours by applying effective behaviour management strategies.
- Promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being, fostering an inclusive environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to reports and reviews.
- Communicate regularly with teaching staff, parents, and SEN coordinators regarding student progress and areas for development.
- Experience working with KS3/KS4 students with special educational needs, specifically Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia.
- A solid understanding of strategies to support teaching and learning for students with SEN, particularly in a physical education setting.
- Strong behaviour management skills, with the ability to implement an effective behaviour management strategy.
