Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Veritas Education Recruitment Ltd. As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in primary, secondary, and SEN schools in the borough of Hillingdon.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting SEN pupils on a one-to-one basis, encouraging them to engage proactively with their learning and developing their social and emotional skills.
  • Assisting teachers with general learning and development, and working with them to monitor student progress.
  • Providing a safe and supportive environment for students, helping to promote their well-being and academic success.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with students with SEN is desirable, but not essential.
  • Knowledge of learning difficulties through personal experience and/or academic studies is also beneficial.
  • A DBS on the update service is required, and applicants without one will need to apply for it through Veritas Education.
