We are seeking a dedicated Science Educator to join our team at Veritas Education Recruitment Ltd. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with special educational needs and challenging behaviours, particularly in a secondary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality science lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with special educational needs.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning styles, abilities, and challenges.
- Incorporate hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and multimedia resources to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Utilize assistive technologies and adaptive equipment to support students with physical disabilities or sensory impairments.
- Assess student progress regularly using a variety of assessment methods and provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with other teachers, teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to create a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in Science and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students with diverse learning needs.
- Familiarity with assistive technologies, adaptive equipment, and accommodations for students with disabilities.
