About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to join our team at the University College London, specifically in the Max Planck UCL Centre for Computational Psychiatry and Ageing Research. The successful candidate will be part of the RELMED project, focusing on understanding the computational mechanisms engaged by different antidepressant treatments.

The Research Fellow will develop and analyze reinforcement learning assessments, combining behavioral and imaging measures with advanced computational modeling. This role requires close collaboration with the Chief Investigator, Professor Quentin Huys, and other Co-Investigators, including Professor Ray Dolan.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in computational neuroscience, psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or a related area, with experience in conducting neuroscience research and a strong publication record. Additionally, expertise in EEG data collection and analysis, programming, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in computational psychiatry and ageing research, with the possibility of extension subject to successful funding renewal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and analyze reinforcement learning assessments

Requirements

  • PhD in computational neuroscience, psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or a related area
