Nurse Position in Torbay and South Devon

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our team at Dawlish Community Hospital. As a key member of our multi-professional team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, promoting a patient-centered approach, and working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve excellent outcomes.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a rotational team. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing your time effectively to meet the needs of patients and colleagues.
Main Responsibilities- To provide high-quality patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
- To work as a member of the ward team, providing a quality service based on patient need.
- To work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, sharing knowledge and expertise to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
- To work autonomously, making decisions and taking responsibility for patient care.
- To participate in rotational teams, supporting outpatient services in the local community.
- RGN qualification.
- Previous acute care experience (completed within nurse training if newly qualified).
- Previous community working experience (completed within nurse training if newly qualified).
- End of life training course.
- Dementia awareness training.
