Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our team at TeacherActive. As a SEND Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEND, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring that students with SEND receive the necessary accommodations and modifications.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, providing regular updates to teachers and parents.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies related to SEND.

Requirements:

  • Level 2/3 qualification in a relevant subject or 3 months experience in a UK classroom.
  • Experience working with SEND needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of Team Teach or similar behavior management strategies (desirable).
