Tradewind are recruiting for a **Learning Support Assistant, LSA,** for a Further Education setting in south Manchester.

**About the role**:

- Learning Support Assistant in south Manchester.
- Supporting FE students with Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs, SEMH.
- Start ASAP
- Full time and long term, could go permanent for the right person.
- Hours will likely be 9am-3:30pm although there may be some variation.
- Pay up to £13/hr depending on experience.
- You will be required to support students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
- You will need to provide nurturing and caring support for the students physical, emotional, behavioural as well as academically.
- Previous experience as a Learning Mentor, Learning Facilitator, Learning Support Assistant, LSA, Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker or Residential Support Worker is required.

**About the pupils**:

- Students are aged 16-19.
- There are students from all walks of life with differing backgrounds etc.
- Several student have Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs, SEMH, and need regular 1:1 support.
- Some pupils come from vulnerable and challenging backgrounds so you will need to be empathetic to this situations and give pupils lots of time and space.

- Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks.
