We are pleased to present an opportunity for a qualified social worker to become a vital member of the Safeguarding Adult Team. This role is integral to our comprehensive service that addresses the needs of new clients or those currently unassigned to qualified professionals in other divisions.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will engage in:
- Duty Work: Conducting initial assessments and screening safeguarding referrals, dedicating approximately two days each week to this critical function.
- Section 42 Enquiries: Managing your own inquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014, ensuring thorough and compassionate investigations.
Our team is small yet highly committed, fostering a supportive atmosphere where collaboration is encouraged.
Essential KnowledgeThe role requires adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures, alongside a solid understanding of the Mental Capacity Act. The execution of MCA assessments and Best Interests decisions is a significant aspect of the responsibilities.
