We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Team Lead to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Manage Quality Control Team: Supervise and mentor a team of quality control technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure effective execution of quality control activities.
- Develop and Maintain Quality Control Procedures: Create and implement quality control procedures, standards, and specifications to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Perform Quality Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess product quality, identifying any defects, non-conformities, or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis: Analyze quality metrics and trends, identifying root causes of quality incidents and implementing preventive measures to minimize quality issues.
- Supervise and Analyze Quality Metrics: Monitor and analyze quality metrics, providing regular reports to management and recommending process improvements.
- Stay Updated with Industry Standards: Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to quality control, ensuring compliance within the organization.
- Lead and Participate in Quality Audits: Lead and participate in internal and external quality audits, coordinating corrective actions and ensuring timely resolution of any non-conformities.
- Develop a Culture of Quality: Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement, driving awareness and accountability across the organization.
- Train Employees: Train employees on quality control procedures, ensuring adherence to established standards and driving a culture of quality excellence.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Microbiology, Chemistry, Quality Management) or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Proven experience as a people manager or similar role, preferably in a laboratory environment.
- Skills: Solid understanding of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools; familiarity with relevant quality standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, GMP, GLP, FDA regulations).
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop employees.
- Analytical Skills: Analytical approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present quality-related information.
- Organizational Skills: Thorough and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using quality control software and tools.
- Certifications: Certifications in continuous improvement (e.g., PPI, Six Sigma, Lean) are a plus.
