National Account Manager

We are seeking an experienced National Account Manager to join our team at NJR Recruitment. As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing designated retailer accounts, developing strong relationships with retailer contacts, and identifying and maximising sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of designated retailer accounts, including budget and P&L responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with retailer contacts, employing effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Identify and maximise sales opportunities, including planning and managing retailer range and promotional calendars.
  • Provide detailed sales vs. budget reports and analysis, highlighting key sales opportunities.
  • Host regular structured retailer review meetings and ensure customer range documents/price files are accurately maintained.
  • Liaise with the Product team to ensure the co-ordination and timely receipt of product information for customer range reviews and promotional proposals.
  • Ensure the knowledge, expertise, and skills of the team are continuously monitored, providing coaching and training if deficiencies exist.
  • Support on the recruitment of staff to the Sales team as required, working in-line with existing recruitment and selection policies.
Requirements:
  • Experience at NAM level working with retailer accounts.
  • Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to lead meetings and work to deadlines.
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent team player with a positive attitude.
