About the Facility

Our facility provides a comprehensive range of secure mental health services tailored for both men and women. We operate a 60-bed hospital equipped with an acute female service and a specialized female Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Additionally, our sister facility offers high-dependency rehabilitation services, ensuring a continuum of care for our patients.


Role Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of risk assessment and management protocols while embedding clinical governance.
  • Supervise and prepare reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers' hearings.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, providing telephone support as required.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Full GMC registration on the Specialist Register for Forensic Psychiatry or General Adult Psychiatry.
  • Extensive experience in forensic or general adult psychiatry.
  • In-depth knowledge of current issues in forensic psychiatry and relevant legislation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to assess and treat patients effectively.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in clinical audits.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
