We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Education and Training Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in shaping the delivery of training programs within the pharmacy department, providing support to trainees and all staff involved in their supervision.
Main Responsibilities- Support the Lead Pharmacist, Education & Training in the coordination, implementation, development, and delivery of training programs for pharmacy trainees.
- Work closely with senior members of the pharmacy E&T team and the wider pharmacy team to develop and support learners and supervisors, ensuring an effective, inclusive, and innovative learning environment and culture.
- Monitor progress, identify new ways to provide required learning opportunities, and continuously strive to improve the overall learning experience.
- Act as an Educational Supervisor, Practice Supervisor, and/or Expert Witness as required.
- Assist with the coordination of cross-sector, undergraduate, and work experience placements.
Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust provides care for the residents of three diverse London boroughs. Our services include all major specialties of large acute hospitals, and we operate from two main sites - King George Hospital in Goodmayes and Queen's Hospital in Romford. We have two of the busiest emergency departments in London, and we are proud of our regional Neurosciences Centre, Radiotherapy Centre, Hyper Acute Stroke Unit, and dedicated breast care service.
Requirements- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a UK Pharmacist.
- Experience of staff training and supervision, including appraising performance and identifying training needs.
- Comprehensive experience as a clinical pharmacist practitioner, including a solid grounding in all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice.
