Pharmacist Educator

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Education and Training Team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the delivery of training programmes within the pharmacy department, providing support to trainees and all staff involved in their supervision.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Pharmacist, Education & Training in the co-ordination, implementation, development and delivery of training programmes for pharmacy trainees
- Work closely with senior members of the pharmacy E&T team and the wider pharmacy team to develop and support learners and supervisors, and to ensure an effective, inclusive and innovative learning environment and culture
- Act as an Educational Supervisor, Practice Supervisor and/or Expert Witness as required
- Assist with the co-ordination of cross-sector, undergraduate and work experience placements
Requirements
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a UK Pharmacist
- Experience of staff training and supervision, including appraising performance and identifying training needs
- Comprehensive experience as a clinical pharmacist practitioner, including a solid grounding in all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice
