Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist Educator to join our Pharmacy Education and Training Team. The successful candidate will support the Lead Pharmacist, Education & Training in the coordination, implementation, development, and delivery of training programs for pharmacy trainees.

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. They will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs, monitoring progress, and identifying new ways to provide learning opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering training programs for pharmacy trainees
  • Monitoring progress and identifying new ways to provide learning opportunities
  • Working closely with senior members of the pharmacy E&T team and the wider pharmacy team to develop and support learners and supervisors
  • Acting as an Educational Supervisor, Practice Supervisor, and/or Expert Witness as required
  • Assisting with the coordination of cross-sector, undergraduate, and work experience placements

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a UK Pharmacist
  • Experience of staff training and supervision, including appraising performance and identifying training needs
  • Comprehensive experience as a clinical pharmacist practitioner, including a solid grounding in all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice
