Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Band 3 Administrator to join our Single Point of Access team. This role is essential in managing referrals for various services, including 111, Children and Young People's Mental Health, and Neurodevelopmental Services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the team's efficiency, improving communication, and expediting responses.

Main Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative and communication skills, enabling them to build effective working relationships with colleagues. You will be adept at prioritizing your workload and ensuring that all referrals are processed and managed efficiently and safely.

Working for Our Organization

This position will be subject to a probationary period, with internal applicants exempt unless currently undergoing a probationary period or are bank staff.

Induction Process

At NELFT, we prioritize a comprehensive onboarding experience for new employees. All new hires will participate in an extensive induction program that includes mandatory training, systems training, and equipment allocation. New starters will also have the opportunity to meet with senior management and attend various engagement sessions focused on health, wellbeing, and key processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals, both in person and over the phone, while being mindful of communication barriers.
  • Handle complex calls from distressed clients with professionalism, escalating issues to senior staff when necessary.
  • Respond to inquiries and take appropriate actions on behalf of the service within established timeframes.
  • Maintain an efficient administrative system for the team.
  • Draft correspondence on behalf of the service.
  • Produce accurate reports and documents from various sources.
  • Work independently to address urgent situations promptly.
  • Manage and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Establish and maintain both electronic and manual filing systems.
  • Type letters and input data into organizational systems.
  • Support the telephone rota as needed.
