About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and competent Band 8A Psychologist to join our expanding Community Forensic Psychology Service. The post holder will provide assessment and evidence-based interventions to service users presenting with complex mental health issues, including psychosis, trauma histories, and substance misuse.
Main Duties- Provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to service users, including individual, group, and family work.
- Work with service users in the community and inpatient settings, including low-secure forensic units.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, taking into account complex factors such as historical, relational, and developmental processes.
- Provide consultation and advice to other professionals, including liaison and working with professional networks.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and communicate effectively with referrers and other professionals.
- Doctoral qualification in psychology (clinical or counselling or forensic psychology) accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Professional registration with the HCPC.
- Substantial, relevant post-qualification clinical experience in working with serious mental health difficulties, including psychosis, personality disorder, and serious offending behaviour.
- Experience of psychological clinical work in forensic services, including offender mental health settings, low-secure and/or medium-secure inpatient units, prisons, or community forensic services.
