Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to children presenting to the emergency department. This includes assessing patients, administering medications, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to children in the emergency department setting.
- Assess patients' needs, develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, pharmacists, and social workers.
- Educate patients and families about their child's condition and treatment plan.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Registered Children's Nurse (Level 1 or 2).
- At least 3 years of experience working as a Band 5 nurse.
- Previous experience in an emergency department setting, specifically with children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
