Job Title: Senior Nurse Leader

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced and credible senior nurse leader to join York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

As Associate Chief Nurse for the Medicine Care Group, you will be responsible for providing strong and effective strategic and clinical leadership as part of a senior leadership team, working in collaboration with the Care Group Director, Associate Chief Operating Officer and Associate Chief Allied Health Professional.

This is a key strategic and operational position within the Trust, responsible for the safe and effective operation of services across multiple hospital sites, including a multi-million pound newly built Urgent and Emergency Care Centre.

The post holder will support the professional development of nurses at all levels and will champion and embed a culture of quality improvement, effective clinical governance, and great patient experience.

The post holder will be responsible for decision making where practice or service delivery issues require specialty leadership ensuring a focus upon quality, safety and operational leadership.

Requirements:

  1. Registered Nurse (Level 1)
  2. Relevant degree Master's degree or equivalent level of skill acquired through experience
  3. Formal management qualification or equivalent level of skill acquired through experience
  4. Evidence of ongoing relevant professional development
