About the Role:

Connex Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a child with special education needs. The successful candidate will be required to assist and support the child throughout their education journey.

Assignment Details:

This is a full-time role with an immediate start date. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the child and the education team to provide support and assistance as needed.

Person Specification:
  • Experience working with young people in a school setting or similar environment
  • Experience working with children with complex needs, sensory feeding difficulties, and ability to support therapeutic inputs
  • Confidence in dealing with vulnerable children in a delicate manner
  • Ability to work well with challenging behaviour
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Willingness to undergo continual professional training
  • Reliability and commitment to working within an education environment
  • Able to work under pressure effectively and reflect in action
  • Ambitious and enthusiastic with a 'can-do' attitude and a cracking sense of humour
