About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is proud to be supporting a single-form entry SEND school in Winsford as they seek a motivated and reliable teaching assistant for a long-term contract after the October half-term. This school caters to students from EYFS to KS4, with a number of pupils requiring 1:1 support.

Your New Role

In this role, you will be joining a team of supportive educational professionals as a teaching assistant within this school. You will be supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis, offering intervention and booster sessions in core subjects as required. As a number of pupils require 1:1 support and have a dual diagnosis of non-verbal and ASD, you will be required to work on pupils' speech and language by offering phonics sessions on a 1:1 and group basis as well as using PECs and Makaton. You will work alongside the class teacher to aid in behaviour and classroom management, ensuring an inclusive and accessible learning environment for all pupils.
