About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated and compassionate teaching assistant to support students with special educational needs (SEN) in a single-form entry SEND school in Winsford. As a teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment for students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis, providing intervention and booster sessions in core subjects as required.
  • Work alongside the class teacher to aid in behaviour and classroom management, ensuring an inclusive and accessible learning environment for all students.
  • Offer phonics sessions on a 1:1 and group basis, as well as using PECs and Makaton to support students with speech and language needs.
Requirements
  • Full "Right to Work" in the UK.
  • Recent referenceable experience supporting children and young people with SEN.
  • Ability to commit to a full-time temporary contract.
