Project Manager for Construction and Commissioning

Position Overview
The role of the Construction and Commissioning Project Manager (CCPM) involves overseeing and coordinating the processes and activities associated with construction and commissioning within the project framework. This position is primarily based offshore, facilitating the successful execution of site operations and the management of site activities, which are conducted by the site manager.
Important Note: This is a hybrid position requiring onsite presence (25-50%) alongside remote work from the local office or home. Please be aware that visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and organize the Kick-Off meeting for the Construction and Commissioning Team Develop the initial plan for storage location, identification, and preservation Define construction responsibilities in alignment with the approved budget and roles Assess scope, budget, and identify risks and opportunities Coordinate and facilitate the transition from tendering to construction, reviewing the construction and commissioning scope, schedule, and budget, including risks and opportunities Organize and participate in the review and approval of the constructability strategy during the Notice to Proceed and Site Mobilization phases Collaborate with the assigned Site Manager to drive site activities, ensuring a comprehensive site execution plan is established, including the identification and setup of necessary applications and platforms for the project, such as procurement strategies and site financial management Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations for the site, including labor laws, permits, licenses, mobilization strategies, specific HSE training, and project-specific certifications for personnel Prepare and manage the initial site possession, planning for both temporary and permanent site infrastructure in conjunction with the Site Manager Regularly monitor and report on the overall construction execution, cost, and manpower loading forecasts. Develop and implement mitigation plans in collaboration with the Site Manager and Construction department Engage in functional monthly project reviews, presenting project status, developments, and progress to the management team. Highlight any potential budget and schedule adherence issues and work collaboratively on corrective actions with relevant department heads, site planners, supervisors, and the Site Manager Ensure timely and legal appointment and delegation of required resources. Maintain effective communication with the Site Coordinator and subcontracting Site Manager Manage and coordinate Non-Budgeted Costs (NBC) for accurate cost reporting Ensure all construction-related tasks and conditions are executed in accordance with contract specifications Provide timely, accurate, and reliable information to the Project Director and Construction management, in conjunction with the Site Manager Ensure adherence to HVDC construction and commissioning processes, instructions, and guidelines Conduct lessons learned sessions following the project handover to the Construction and Commissioning, Site Integration Management, and Engineering teamsQualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience Proven experience in construction and commissioning Ability to perform under pressure and take initiative Strong prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines Proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential-
