Senior Laboratory Research Scientist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Laboratory Research Scientist to join our team at the Francis Crick Institute. As a key member of our Molecular Glue Discovery Partnership, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing proximity-based cell screens and cell-free assays for the identification and validation of molecular glue degraders.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute high-throughput screening campaigns using a range of screening modalities
- Collaborate with researchers to co-develop assays and plan large-scale screens
- Ensure domain-specific knowledge is sufficient to create optimal assays
- Manage workload and coordinate with partnership members to maintain a productive dialogue
- Stay up-to-date with activities in the Partnership to anticipate future needs
- Extensive experience in using and developing cell-free and cell-based assays
- Direct experience of high-throughput screening techniques and associated machinery
- Ability to maintain a productive dialogue with facility users and educate users in techniques and use of specific machines
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
