Job Title: Principal UI Software Engineer

TP ICAP is a world-leading provider of market infrastructure, and we're seeking a highly skilled Principal UI Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our UI Engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and direction for the development of our flagship Fusion platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary technical leader and developer on the Fusion UI team, demonstrating strong technical competencies and acting as a dependable and high-value contributor within the team.
  • Provide technical oversight of the analysis and design for assigned projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.
  • Design, develop, test, and oversee production software solutions, including the development of highly complex systems and modifications to existing systems.
  • Communicate the architecture and principles behind a system to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is aligned and working towards the same goals.
  • Support the use of preferred planning and prioritization tooling (JIRA) to capture and track deliveries, identify issues, and help with roadmap and iteration planning and prioritization.
  • Ensure the team engages in a well-defined SDLC that supports planning, prioritization, and delivery needs, and that everyone is working towards the same objectives.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in HTML5, React 16/17+, Typescript 4/5+, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
  • UI Libraries such as Material UI or Ant Design, and CSS pre-processors such as SASS and LESS.
  • Testing frameworks such as Jest, and build tools such as Webpack.
  • Code quality and governance tools such as Sonarqube, and version control systems such as git (i.e., gitlabs).
  • Agile development methodologies such as Scrum, and strong communication and collaboration skills.
Desired Skills:
  • NX / Turbo repo or a similar monorepo approach, Node JS, and Figma for mock-ups and collaboration.
  • Design thinking, and the use of Storybook.
