Job Title: Principal UI Software Engineer

Our client, a leading financial services group, is seeking a Principal UI Software Engineer to lead the UI team for their flagship trading platform.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership role that combines coding expertise with strategic oversight. As a Principal UI Software Engineer, you will set the technical direction for UI Engineers across multiple teams, driving best practices in development and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the platforms UI team, setting high standards for React, Typescript, and JavaScript development.
  • Collaborate on risk management and issue escalation.
  • Drive agile development using tools like JIRA and ensure best practices across teams.
Requirements

Strong experience with React, Typescript, JavaScript, and UI libraries like Material UI or Ant Design. Expertise in CSS preprocessors, testing frameworks, and build tools (e.g., js, AWS, Figma, and Storybook).
