About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Catering Assistant to join our team in Chester. As a Catering Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting our catering teams in various settings, including care homes, schools, and events.

Your primary duties will include food preparation, serving food, loading dishwashers, cleaning, and operating a till on some sites. You will work closely with our chefs and be well-versed in multitasking during your shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee food preparation processes
  • Ensure dishes are clean before serving
  • Have at least 6 months of catering experience in a busy facility
  • Hold a current DBS or be willing to obtain one (we will subsidize the payment)
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced catering environment
  • Be available to work Monday to Friday, 09:00-14:30
  • Be willing to travel within and around the Wirral area
  • Have good oral communication skills
  • Be passionate about food and have a creative flair
  • Be an outstanding chef in all kitchen areas
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Be reliable, on time, and motivated
Requirements
  • At least 6 months of experience as a catering assistant or kitchen-based role
  • Have a strong understanding of working in a kitchen environment
  • Be able to work alongside staff in a fast-paced kitchen setting
  • Love playing an integral part of the catering team and bringing food to life
  • Have a current DBS or be willing to obtain one through us
What We Offer
  • Shifts will be added to an online scheduler, allowing you to choose your bookings
  • You will have a dedicated consultant allocated to you, ensuring you receive weekly work
