Working Schedule

Shifts operate 5 days a week on a rotating 5-week pattern, covering Sunday to Friday. Team members are required to work 2 Sundays within every 5-week cycle.

We are looking for a talented and driven Logistics Transportation Planner to become a vital part of our team at Best Food Logistics. In this role, you will be instrumental in crafting and executing strategies aimed at optimizing transportation networks, ensuring timely deliveries, minimizing congestion, and improving overall mobility. Your focus will be on maximizing vehicle capacity and utilization in accordance with availability.

As our next Logistics Transportation Planner, you should be highly motivated, organized, and possess a proactive attitude, along with a solid foundation in Transport & Logistics planning within a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment.

Collaborating closely with the Operations teams, you will engage in daily route planning activities to enhance service and efficiency at our Distribution Centers.

  • Executing route modifications, supporting the comprehensive re-planning process, and emphasizing continuous improvement by investigating and analyzing route performance daily to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Conducting a thorough review of live routes against actual ordered volumes each day, allowing for necessary adjustments to ensure orders align and are executed punctually.
  • Prioritizing Service, Transport Planners must adhere to legal and agreed business parameters while aiming for high delivery performance targets exceeding 92% and maintaining optimal vehicle efficiency.
  • Reliability and adaptability are essential traits for this diverse role.
  • Adopting an accurate and methodical approach to your responsibilities.
  • Being well-organized and self-driven, with the capability to work independently when required.
  • Demonstrating proficient MS Excel skills, ideally at an intermediate level.
  • Exhibiting strong communication skills, capable of presenting work clearly and concisely.
  • Comfortable working under strict deadlines while remaining accountable for your tasks.
  • Building strong working relationships and contributing to a small, dedicated team is crucial, along with a willingness to engage and assist in problem-solving.
