The Executive Manager will serve as the ambassador for fitness at Everlast Gyms, embodying the company's elevated ways of working. This role requires a strong leader who can drive revenue growth, manage controllable costs, and lead by example on the gym floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent Everlast Gyms as a fitness ambassador, promoting the company's values and mission.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth, including membership sales, product sales, and secondary revenue streams.
- Manage controllable costs, such as stock orders and cleaning supplies, to eliminate wastage and overspend.
- Lead by example on the gym floor, demonstrating the company's elevated ways of working and enhancing the member experience.
- Ensure the effective management of central processes, such as STRIVE and MOVE, to deliver high-quality results consistently.
- Drive collective buy-in to national focuses and incentives, such as #WORKOUTWEDNESDAY and #WeCommunicate.
- Recruit, train, and onboard new team members, ensuring they are equipped to deliver exceptional results.
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly operational processes, using in-house systems to ensure consistency and high standards.
- Deliver honest, constructive feedback to support team members in achieving their potential and challenging them to excel.
- Report facilities and maintenance-related issues, adhering to best practice guidelines.
- Manage club rotas, ensuring fully trained team members are always on-site and meeting budget requirements.
- Be resilient and agile, reacting to challenging situations and finding solutions that benefit the business.
- Effectively manage all policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, and pool plant operations.
- Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation, ensuring a positive member experience.
Requirements
- Possess a passion for health, fitness, and wellness.
- Hold a Level 2 qualification in fitness (desirable).
- Have at least 1 year of previous management experience within the fitness industry.
- Exhibit strong leadership qualities, adaptability, and a positive, solutions-driven mindset.
- Display exceptional interpersonal skills, a member champion mentality, and a driven, ambitious approach to learning and development.
- Be flexible in working hours and location to support the needs of the business, including weekends and Bank Holidays when required.
