About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Surgical Day Case Theatre Recovery team at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient-centered care as part of the Theatre department, reflecting the Trust's objectives, values, and vision.

The practitioner will be expected to maintain safe and effective patient care, adhering to Theatre and Trust policies and procedures, and maintaining accurate and legible records of care in line with Trust policy and professional codes of conduct.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a recovery setting, paediatric experience, and be a registered nurse or ODP.

This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a patient advocate and ensure patients' wishes, choices, and beliefs are taken into account in the decision-making process.
  • Maintain a culture of infection control and monitor its implementation in line with Trust policy.
  • Collaborate with the family to ensure patients' needs are met.
  • Ensure working practices conform to Theatre and Trust policies and procedures.
