Radiographer for Interventional and Hybrid Theatres

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Radiographer to work within the Interventional and Hybrid Theatre suites, Cardiac Cath Labs, and the Radiology department at Liverpool University Hospital.
The role encompasses a full-time Radiographer position for Interventional, Hybrid, and Cardiac Catheter Lab, with an expectation to work within the General Radiology Department and participate in the 24/7 on-call rota for acute Interventional and Vascular shift work.
For staff with limited or no previous experience in Interventional, Hybrid Vascular, or Cath Lab Imaging, a comprehensive training opportunity is available under Annex 21 AFC Terms & Conditions.
The role requires working as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality imaging using a patient-centred approach.
The IR department has 2 IR theatres containing Siemens Artis Q systems, 1 Ultrasound room, and a 5-bedded recovery area. The purpose-built hybrid theatres complex has opened, containing 3 theatres of which 2 are Vascular hybrids containing Siemens Artis Phenos.
Staff must be willing to partake in shift week rotations alongside the On-Call Rota to facilitate the OOH working required for Interventional Radiology and Vascular Theatres.
Outside of radiology, we also support the Cardiac Cath Lab, which is a single-plane lab undertaking Permanent Pacemaker implantations and Diagnostic coronary angiograms.
Applicants must be willing to train and work in all areas of IR, Hybrid, Cath Lab, and General Radiography, with a need to work shifts and participate in an On-Call Rota.
As part of work in the Cath Lab and Hybrid theatres, there will be an aspect of working as the sole Radiographic practitioner, with responsibilities for safe working practices, high-quality imaging, and a key understanding of anatomical imaging.
Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.
The merger provided an opportunity to reconfigure services in a way that provides the best healthcare services to the city and improves the quality of care and health outcomes that patients experience.
The Trust runs Aintree University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool University Dental Hospital, and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
Clinical Responsibilities:
1. Participate in the radiographic rotation through the highly specialised areas such as Interventional Theatres, Cardiac Catheter Lab, and Vascular Hybrid theatres.
