About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Fellow to lead our Trials Unit at the University of York. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering efficient and inclusive trials, focusing on complex interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement innovative trial designs and methodologies.
  • Lead a team of researchers in the execution of trials, ensuring high-quality results and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with health and care practitioners to develop best practices and improve trial efficiency and inclusivity.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to researchers and stakeholders through the NIHR RSS Hub.
  • Drive innovation in efficient and inclusive trials, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant health research area or an MSc with equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in trial design and delivery, efficient methods and approaches, and inclusive research practices.
  • Proven experience in securing significant external research funding.
  • A strong track record of high-quality, impactful research outputs.
  • Experience incorporating patient and public involvement in research.
