About the Role
The University of York is seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to join its Centre for Reviews and Dissemination (CRD). As a Research Fellow, you will contribute to the development of evidence synthesis projects, working closely with the CRD team to provide policymakers with high-quality research evidence.
About the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination
CRD is a leading academic research department specializing in evidence synthesis and health technology assessment. Our systematic reviews and other evidence synthesis projects span a broad range of health and public health areas, providing best evidence to inform policy and practice decisions.
About the Job
This is a full-time position, but we will also consider applicants who wish to work part-time provided that this is at least 60% of a whole time equivalent. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates and particularly encourage applications from people who identify as being from the Black African and Caribbean Heritage community, Asian or other ethnic background that is underrepresented at the University.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct systematic reviews in health and care topics
- Develop and maintain knowledge of evidence synthesis methodologies
- Work collaboratively as part of a team and with stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of methods and funding applications
Requirements
- Masters level qualification in a health science, social science or applied statistical subject
- Relevant PhD or equivalent research experience in a relevant topic
- Experience of conducting systematic reviews in health and care topics
- Strong written and oral communication skills
