York, York City, United Kingdom University of York Full time

Role

Description

The University of York is seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to contribute to its Centre for Reviews and Dissemination (CRD). CRD is a leading academic research department specialising in evidence synthesis and health technology assessment.

As a Research Fellow, you will work on systematic reviews and other evidence synthesis projects spanning a broad range of health and public health areas. Your work will provide best evidence to inform policy and practice decisions and be underpinned by a programme of methodological development and commitment to knowledge exchange.

CRD is a friendly and supportive workplace that is part of a wider health and social care research community within the University of York. We embrace hybrid and flexible working patterns, enabling staff to work partly remotely according to project needs and their preferences.

Successful applicants will contribute to research activities across CRD research programmes. This may include working on NIHR Evidence Synthesis Group projects and those commissioned under our NIHR Policy Reviews Facility, to provide policymakers with research evidence and facilitate its use in their decision-making.

Required skills, experience & qualification

Applications are welcome from candidates with a Masters level qualification in a health science, social science or applied statistical subject and a relevant PhD or equivalent research experience in a relevant topic. Candidates must have experience of conducting systematic reviews in health and care topics and have sound knowledge of the methodologies involved.

We welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates and particularly encourage applications from people who identify as being from the Black African and Caribbean Heritage community, Asian or other ethnic background that is underrepresented at the University.

Interview date

The University strives to be diverse and inclusive – a place where we can ALL be ourselves.
