The role of a Youth Activity Facilitator is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children during their time at camp while providing engaging and structured activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement activities for children aged 6-14, prioritizing engagement, growth, and enjoyment, both independently and collaboratively.
- Assume a leadership role within a group, welcoming new participants and maintaining communication with management and parents as needed.
- Oversee and interact with children during non-activity periods.
- Consistently advocate for the welfare of all children in your care.
- Exhibit high levels of enthusiasm, energy, and professionalism, serving as a positive role model.
- Ensure compliance with all camp policies and procedures, including health, safety, and safeguarding protocols.
- Embody the mission of 'Inspiring Children Every Day' and uphold the company's standards throughout your tenure.
- Perform additional tasks as required (e.g., cleaning, equipment upkeep).
Essential Qualifications
- Experience working with children and facilitating activities.
- Ability to adapt session delivery based on age and skill level.
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about child development through play.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; confidence in leading groups and taking responsibility.
- A flexible team player, capable of adjusting to the dynamic environment of the camp.
- Aiming for a challenging yet rewarding role in the childcare and coaching sector.
Desirable Qualifications
- Possession of or progress towards a relevant qualification in sports, arts, education, or childcare.
- Experience managing a group of children independently.
- Certification in Paediatric First Aid or First Aid at Work.
