Senior Quantity Surveyor sought by a prominent provider of industrial automation solutions and services in the UK and Ireland. Due to business expansion, they are in need of a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

The successful applicant will deliver Cost Management services on projects valued between £500,000 and £20 million, ensuring the business's interests are protected in all cost and scheduling discussions. The role involves overseeing large-scale construction, design, and management projects under NEC contract frameworks.

Position Overview for Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • Support Project Managers daily to ensure commercial and financial objectives are met.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and propose solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Contribute to regular and precise reporting to Operations and Project Managers regarding: PPR/CVR/Cash Flow/Weekly Updates, etc.
  • Prepare and submit valuations and finalize accounts.
  • Oversee the commercial management of multiple sites, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Price and submit contract variations, and negotiate final accounts with client Quantity Surveyors.
  • Provide advice on contract terms and conditions, particularly regarding notice periods and application processes.
  • Assist the proposals team in obtaining pricing and engineering estimates.
  • Engage with clients on commercial contract aspects and resolve pricing disputes.
  • Participate in site progress and contract review meetings.
  • Ensure quality assurance during project review phases.
  • Adhere to company procedures.
Position Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • Experience in managing large-scale Construction, Design, and Management projects.
  • Experience with Gas Network Transmission and NEC contracts is highly desirable.
  • Minimum qualifications: HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple small projects or a single project up to £10 million.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Possession of a full UK driving license.
Remuneration for Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • Salary: £60,000.
  • Working hours: 37 hours per week.
  • Bonus Scheme: up to 10%.
  • Holiday Package: 25 days + 8 bank holidays, increasing with service.
  • Hybrid working model: 2 days from home.
  • Life and sickness insurance provided.
  • Pension contribution up to 12.5%, subject to criteria.
