About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join our team at Héroux-Devtek. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies that drive long-term improvements in quality, cost, and delivery.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute category strategies to support business goals for new product introduction and serial production, ensuring improvements in quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Lead and coordinate supplier sourcing processes and relationships, fulfilling procurement managers' and operational buyers' responsibilities.
  • Ensure supply chain within assigned categories meets annual purchase cost commitments using a total cost of acquisition approach.
  • Resolve cost issues and maintain supplier pricing within the ERP system, consulting with procurement managers.
  • Oversee delivery performance of suppliers within designated categories, supporting program milestone and serial production requirements.
  • Manage quality performance of suppliers within responsible categories, consulting with procurement and quality managers to address issues.
  • Support departmental budget holders in Capex procurement, defining preferred suppliers and drafting contracts/SLAs to maximize value and minimize risk.
  • Ensure adherence to and continuous improvement of procurement processes and procedures, maintaining systems to meet KPIs and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • CIPS qualified (or willing to work towards)
  • Category strategy writing experience, including value opportunity identification
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Understands and operates supplier relationship and category management
  • Has a proven track record in delivering results, on time and on budget
  • Understands value levers and cost drivers
  • Understands manufacturing processes and cost drivers
  • Understands total cost of acquisition impact
  • Contract and supplier negotiation experience
