Key Responsibilities- Project Delivery: Assist the Commercial Manager in providing support to the contract delivery team to ensure the profitability, cash management, cost control, and accurate reporting of all schemes.
- Commercial Reporting: Manage the preparation and submission of commercial reports to stakeholders, including project managers, commercial managers, and senior management.
- Cost Control: Oversee the management of costs, including the identification and mitigation of potential cost risks, and the development of cost-saving initiatives.
- Contract Management: Manage the full sub-contract cycle, including the negotiation and administration of contracts, and the management of change control processes.
- Dispute Resolution: Manage disputes and negotiate settlements with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Training and Development: Provide training and coaching to junior quantity surveyors and other team members to ensure the development of commercial skills and knowledge.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in a contracting commercial department.
- Qualifications: Degree educated or HND/HNC equivalent in a relevant field, such as construction management or quantity surveying.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft packages, including Excel, and working knowledge of construction industry conditions of contract.
- Personal Qualities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Competitive Salary: A generous salary package, including a bonus scheme.
- Benefits: 25 days' holiday, travel expenses, mileage, meal allowance, general allowance, accommodation allowance, and pension.
