Position Summary

In the capacity of Operational Risk Manager, you will be instrumental in the development and upkeep of the ERM framework, ensuring its compliance with industry standards and regulatory mandates. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Risk, your responsibilities will include leading risk evaluations, monitoring significant risks, and collaborating with senior leadership to implement effective risk mitigation strategies throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the formulation of the risk taxonomy
  • Conduct regular risk evaluations and assessments
  • Facilitate the execution of risk management policies
  • Deliver training sessions on risk management principles
  • Stay informed on emerging risks and trends
  • Lead workshops focused on risk assessment
  • Engage with stakeholders, including presenting risk analyses to senior management and acting as a liaison for auditors and clients

Required Skills

  • Extensive technical knowledge in risk management, including risk appetite and key risk indicators
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management within the financial services industry
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication abilities, capable of conveying complex information to Board-level audiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Consultative skills with a solid understanding of regulatory frameworks
